This is not a book for those who wish to read from a traditional Christian point of view.Walter Starcke (not his wife Eron, as the credits show) presents his beliefs about the true meaning of the teachings of Jesus. He begins with a short history lesson to provide the foundations for his beliefs, and moves from Genesis in the Old Testament through the New. It is relatively well organized and covers a wide variety of issues. Interpretations are from a much more Gnostic viewpoint without discounting the Traditional, which integrates well into my spiritual point of view. Starcke has opened up the teachings of Jesus for me, in such a way that I am now able to feel the meanings for myself, rather than relying on the Traditionalist Christian and Catholic spin. His beliefs may not be "new", but I found his presentation to be understandable on a personal level. There is nothing wrong with reframing long-held beliefs to make them more current and practically useful. Walter Starcke has done this well.
This review is not a debate on the validity of the subject matter, but a review of the presentation of his viewpoint.

I love this book. This book is very insightful and encouraging.
I love this book and have added it to my "go to" collection. Starcke is great at articulating what has been in my head for years but have been unable to express.
